This Privacy Policy explains how WiseGuy XL (“WGXL”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit wiseguyxl.eu or contact us. We are committed to processing personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive.
1. Who we are (data controller)
The controller responsible for your personal data is WiseGuy XL, operated by Shivam Singh. Full legal-entity and registered-address details are set out in our Imprint. You can reach us about privacy matters at shivam@wiseguytech.us.
2. What data we collect
Data you give us
- Enquiry & contact forms: your name, email address, company, and the contents of your message when you submit a form or email us.
- Free tools & audits: any details you enter to receive a result, calculation, or growth audit.
Data collected automatically
- Analytics: if you consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser). Analytics only runs after you accept via the cookie banner.
- Server logs: our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps to keep the site secure and running.
- Cookies: see our Cookie Policy for the full list and how consent works.
3. Why we use your data and the legal basis
- To respond to your enquiry and provide services — legal basis: your consent and/or steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(a)/(b) GDPR).
- To measure and improve the website (analytics) — legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse (server logs) — legal basis: our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Who we share data with (processors)
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under appropriate agreements:
- Hosting: Hostinger International Ltd. (website hosting and server logs).
- Analytics: Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Analytics 4), only where you have consented.
- Email & form handling: our email provider and the site’s form plugin, used to deliver and store your enquiry.
Where a provider transfers data outside the EEA, such transfers rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to respond to you and, where relevant, to manage our working relationship, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics. Server logs are held for a short period for security purposes.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time (for example, by adjusting your cookie choices). To exercise any right, email shivam@wiseguytech.us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
7. Data security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including HTTPS encryption and access controls — to protect personal data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
8. Children
This website and our services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it was last revised.
